The BeoPlay A9

1. Topic:
The BeoPlay A9 is a new type of speaker

2. Article Title
The BeoPlay A9- it's a speaker, not a satellite dish.

3. Article Source
I received this article from Gizmag.com

4. Summary
The BeoPlay A9 is a new type of speaker. It is flat, curved, and looks like a satellite dish. It is also touch sensitive.

5. Reaction
Truthfully for the whopping price of $2,575 I think it's utterly worthless. All it really is designed for is to look flashy, and be able to stream music from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device remotely. Sure it may be able to play music as soon as its linked to your phone, but their are multiple different nifty devices where you can plug your phone in and listen to music. Not only are these devices designed for the same thing but they are a whole lot cheaper. Overall I think if they lowered the price way down I honestly would buy it because it's unique. But lets get real here who has $2,500 to burn?

6. World Impact
I think that this has almost little to no impact on the world. For one touch based systems are already around and will continue to evolve. For two all it's really used for is streaming music from your phone to the speaker. Another really good reason would be that several times in Wall-mart seeing this awesome little speaker, whose name slips my mind, for $20 that plugs into your cell phone audio plug and pumps out loud, good quality sound. One the other hand I can say that I like the look of the speaker. It is compact and small unlike the huge block(ish) speakers that most people are accustomed to.
